Here are the Football Highlights of Andale ! Go check out our hardworking boys!

The bullpups had just come off a win from Salina South. Everyone kept up the energy competitiveness for that game.

On the 11th of September, our MHS football boys took on Andale on their home turf. Since the game ended 29-8 with Andale in the lead, the boys have been more than focused during practice this week.

Coach Jace Pavlovich, now head coach of the football team, talked about how he felt the team will succeed. “To be succeed, we need to stay humble and go into that game knowing that we are still the underdogs and playing with the ‘chip’ on our shoulder,” said Coach Pavlovich.

After our football boys won against South with the scoring being 14-7, Coach Pavlovich was a little concerned about how they would handle the win. Once the boys lost against Andale, it was an eye-opener to them. They now understand that they have to work on their performance everyday and make it better.

Coach Pavlovich said, “That win gave us confidence. We needed that since we have players that have never played a varsity game in their life. I just hope that didn’t get caught up in our heads.”

“We were not concerned about that game at all, we were too cocky and not prepared,” said varsity senior, Jake Nikkel.

Nikkel says, “Being one of the seniors, I think we could’ve kept our tempo up higher during practice and kept playing with a ‘chip’ on our shoulder and we would’ve gone in a little more prepared than what we were.”

The team feels as though that loss brought them all back down to earth and that they still have a lot to prove. All week, the team has already made improvements during practice so they can have a better game against Augusta.
